Ephrata Running Club hiring volunteer instructor
EPHRATA — The Ephrata Parks and Recreation announced in a Facebook post Monday that a position for a Volunteer Running Club instructor has opened for this fall.
In the post Ephrata Parks and Recreation said the Running Club is designed to introduce kids of all experience and ability levels to the fun and rewarding sport of running. The program focuses on building confidence, encouraging personal growth and creating a positive experience where effort, attitude and teamwork are celebrated.
The program is set to run from September through the middle of October, but a full schedule will be coordinated with the new instructor.
Practices will include group warm-ups, stretching and running drills, interval workouts, strength and conditioning activities, running games and preparation for an end-of-season cross-country meet.
The goal is to help kids improve while having fun in a supportive environment. The volunteer position would be an opportunity to make a positive impact on local youth.
