Moses Lake man arrested for discharging firearm, resisting arrest
MOSES LAKE — On Thursday at around midnight, Moses Lake Police Department responded to a reported gunshot on Grape Drive and Highway 17. When officers arrived, they learned suspect Travis Hanson, 42, of Moses Lake had fired a gun into the air while arguing with his neighbor. There were no reported injuries.
Hanson barricaded himself in his home and refused to come out when police arrived. Police attempted two hours of negotiations before the Moses Lake Tactical Response team was called.
Hanson was safely taken into custody and booked into Grant County Jail. According to the Grant County Jail roster, he was booked on aiming or discharging a firearm, resisting arrest and reckless endangerment. As of Friday morning, Hanson had been released from the jail.
