COLUMBIA BASIN — After the hoopla of the holidays, it’s time to wind down a little and start getting into a routine. Here are a few things to keep your time occupied. 

Jan. 9 

H.E. Gritman Senior Center Fundraising Breakfast 

Enjoy a homemade breakfast of pancakes and sausage or biscuits and gravy and sausage. Cost is $7 and all ages are welcome. All proceeds go to support the activities at the Senior Center. 7-10 a.m. at 118 W. Main Ave., Ritzville. Info: 509-659-1921.   

Gallery Opening: ‘The Four Corners of the Year’

Sourdough for Beginners 

Are you ready to finally take the plunge into sourdough and all of its benefits? Come learn a skill as old as time and get your hands doughy. Laura, a WSDA-certified commercial sourdough baker and instructor, will teach you all you need to know to bake an artisan sourdough boule from start to finish. Bingo Night

Jan. 10 

Dancing with the Moses Lake Stars 

Six local stars will partner with dance professionals for a competition judged by the audience. Proceeds support the Central Basin Community Concert Association. Jan. 17 

Comedy Night: Cory Michaelis 

After teaching high school for 12 years, Cory Michaelis "retired" to do comedy full-time because he wanted to try out both of the lowest-paying jobs in America. Now he’s bringing his act – which is sharp, irreverent and not suitable for the high schoolers he used to teach – to Moses Lake. Old Time Fiddlers

Bingo 

Enjoy a fun afternoon of Bingo and socializing. Bingo cards cost 25 cents each for each game played and all money is put back into the game prizes. 2-3:30 p.m. at 7-10 a.m. at H.E. Gritman Senior Center, 118 W. Main Ave., Ritzville. Info: 509-659-1921.

‘Cafe Murder!’ 

Dinner theater production by Columbia Basin Allied Arts and Sunshine Theater. Rosemary has a flair for the dramatic, a few quirky beliefs and a talent for stirring up excitement wherever she goes. Over dessert, guests will be drawn into a playful mystery involving Rosemary and her lively circle – a fun, theatrical twist that invites everyone to enjoy the evening’s surprises together. Tickets $80, which includes pasta dinner, soft drinks and desserts. A no-host bar will also be available. Friends of the Moses Lake Library Book Sale

Bagpipe Bash 

Celebrate in the spirited style of a traditional Scottish Burns Night. Three-course dinner, live and silent auctions and music and entertainment. Hosted by Quincy Booster Club. ‘Red 2’
