Marie Lucille Trembley
Marie Lucille Trembley, age 102, a Moses Lake, Washington resident for 76 years, passed away peacefully Dec. 15, 2025.
Marie was born in 1923 in Cloquet, Minn., to Robert and Helen (Bergman) Anderson. She married Chester N. Trembley in October 1941, in Duluth, Minn., beginning a marriage that spanned decades and many seasons of life.
During World War II, Marie worked as a crane operator in the steel yards while her husband served overseas. Over the years, she also worked at Washington Trust Bank, the post office, and later fulfilled a lifelong calling by becoming a licensed practical nurse after completing the Big Bend Community College nursing program in 1971. She provided compassionate geriatric care at Columbia Basin Hospital until her retirement in 1988.
Marie was a member of the Lutheran Church and was known for her creativity and generosity. She loved sewing, crocheting, baking, scrapbooking and preserving family memories through carefully labeled photo albums. Her handmade quilts, crocheted pieces and baked goods were treasured by family and friends alike.
Above all, Marie cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother, delighting in time spent with her growing family.
She is survived by her daughter, Penny C. Graham-Greer (Richard); grandchildren Richard Graham (Christa), Robyn (Graham) Ramirez (Richard) and Richelle (Graham) Hecker (Sheldon Milner); eleven great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; four nephews, Danny, Lanny, Eric and Neil; and her niece, Jackie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester N. Trembley; her son, Chester R. Trembley; her parents, Robert and Helen Anderson; her brother, Roy Anderson; her sisters, Arlie Mae Schetne and Lois Weidman; and her nephew, Teddy Weidman.
A graveside service will be held Jan. 8, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Pioneer Memorial Gardens, 14403 Road 2 NE, Moses Lake, Wash. Reception to follow at Pillar Rock Grill.
