Daniel Tyler
Daniel “Dan” Tyler, age 81, passed away peacefully at his home in Moses Lake, Wash., on Dec. 28, 2025. A man known for his warmth and natural ability to put a smile on anyone’s face, Dan was a constant source of joy for those who knew him.
Born in Wenatchee, Wash., on Sept. 1, 1944, Dan grew up in Ephrata, Wash., where he graduated from Ephrata high school. After graduation, he moved to Moses Lake, which became his long-time home. He was well known as a small business owner, operating the local Baskin-Robins alongside the heart of the business, his wife Lynn. He also worked as a meat cutter prior which caused some to refer to him as “Dan the meat man.” In addition to his work, Dan’s true passion was on the softball field. For 20 years he served as a coach, sharing a love for the game and mentoring throughout the seasons.
Above all else, Dan was defined by the profound love he had for his wife, Lynn. Having shared 60 years of marriage, their bond was the cornerstone of his life. He was a devoted husband who took immense pride in the life and family they built together.
Dan is survived by his beloved wife, Lynn Tyler. He was a devoted father to three beautiful daughters who were his pride and joy. Lori Tyler, Sheri Tyler (Jorge), Tanya Picicci (Sam). His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Tyler (Kay), Landon (Brittney), Jordan (Dak), Noah, Josh (Ali), Ashlynn, Cameron and Samuel. As well as his great-grandchildren: Josh, Milady, Amelia, Brodielynn, Lulu and Daniela. He is also survived by his brother, Randy Tyler (Janice), and his brother in-law, Dick Brockway, as well as sister in-law, Renie Melcher (Gary) along with many nieces and nephews.
Dan is reunited with his parents in heaven, John and Ruby Tyler.
A celebration of life is currently being planned with details to be determined at a later date.
