Mat Classic 2026 sees strong performances by Basin athletes
Moses Lake’s Eli Anderson said he was proud of his season representing Moses Lake High School on the mat and appreciated his chance to represent his school at the Mat Classic in the 215-lbs weight class.

TACOMA — On day one of the Mat Classic, Washington’s best from the 3A and 4A competed at the Tacoma Dome on Thursday. Across the boys and girls teams of the Moses Lake Mavericks, seven wrestlers moved on to the semifinals. Competition for other teams from Grant and Adams counties started Friday with additional strong performances from those teams as well.
