QUINCY — A George woman died in a three-vehicle collision on state Route 281, south of Quincy, on Saturday, according to a statement from the Washington State Patrol.

Eva Santiago Santos, 46, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the statement.

At about 6:45 p.m., Santos was stopped in the southbound lane of SR 281 attempting to make a left turn onto Road 6 Northwest, according to the statement, when she was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Sergio Alfaro Regalado, 38, of Quincy. The impact from the crash pushed Santiago Santos’ vehicle into the northbound lane, where it was struck by a vehicle driven by Jose D. Gutierrez-Salcedo, 31, of Tieton.

Neither Alfaro Regalado nor Gutierrez-Salcedo was injured, according to the statement. All parties were wearing seat belts, and neither drugs or alcohol was a factor. Charges against Alfaro Regalado are pending, the WSP wrote.
