WARDEN — The City of Warden has received a clean audit report from the Office of the Washington State Auditor for Jan. 1, 2022, through Dec. 31, 2024.

City Administrator Kriss Schuler expressed appreciation for positive feedback.

"We do our best, we review our work, and we’re thankful to be able to provide that information to the audit so that they can review it and be transparent to the community,” Schuler said.

The clean audit report indicates that the city has successfully managed its financial operations in accordance with state guidelines, allowing for accurate and transparent financial reporting. This finding helps maintain public trust and assures residents that their tax dollars are being utilized effectively.

Schule said transparency for citizens is important.

"Providing this information during the audit process allows for a clearer understanding of how public funds are being used,” she said.

The city’s dedication to maintaining robust internal controls and adhering to regulations has ultimately resulted in a favorable outcome, Schuler said. Residents can review the full audit report on the Washington State Auditor’s website for detailed insights into the city’s financial standings.
