Moms Helping Moms organizing backpack giveaway, clothing swap ahead of school year
On Sunday, Moms Helping Moms will have a backpack giveaway and clothing swap ahead of the school year. Administrator Jeannie Austin-Cook said they are accepting donations up to the time the event starts at 2 p.m. She said there is a list for parents who need backpacks for their students, she asks that those who need school supplies reach out to her, Moms Helping Moms or Ryan Hawn to get onto the list.

MOSES LAKE — As families prepare for the start of the school year, the volunteer group Moms Helping Moms of Grant County is hosting a backpack giveaway and clothing swap this weekend to help families who may have missed other back-to-school events because of work schedules.
