MOSES LAKE — It being spring and all, roadwork is starting up not only on state and county highways, but also in municipalities around town. A couple of projects are scheduled for Moses Lake before the end of April.

One is planned for Tuesday along Road L Northeast between the East Wheeler Road intersection and Bonanza Street. Southbound lanes will be closed to allow work on a construction project along the road.

A second project is planned for a late April start. Construction crews will be adding flashing beacons at the crosswalk at the intersection of Knolls Vista Drive and Stratford Road along with other upgrades.

Curb ramps that are compliant with ADA ramps will be added; an “accessible pedestrian signal” will be added to accommodate people with impaired hearing or vision.

The sidewalks on both sides of Stratford will be closed at times during the construction, and drivers can expect intermittent lane closures in each direction on Stratford, according to a city press release.
