COLUMBIA BASIN — With Easter on the horizon, organizations around the basin have put together a variety of events for the whole family to get involved in some springtime fun. Check out what events are being held in the basin this weekend.

April 3

Ephrata Parks and Recreation Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt

A free flashlight Easter Egg Hunt for grades 5-12 featuring 4,0000 hidden eggs throughout Lions Park. Prizes in the past have included AirPods, TVs, gift cards, and more. Those interested in donating prizes can call 509-754-4601 Ext. 129. Don’t forget to bring a flashlight. Hunt starts at 8:45 p.m. at Lions Park, 751 Parkway Blvd SW, Ephrata.

Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt

Moses Lake High School students in grades 9-12 are invited for a free teen Easter Egg Hunt. There will be candy-filled eggs and a chance to win a variety of prizes donated by local businesses. Students must bring their own flashlight and have a valid MLSD student ID to redeem prizes. The hunt begins at 8:30 p.m. at McCosh Park, 401 W Fourth Ave, Moses Lake.

April 4

Ephrata Rotary Club Easter Egg Hunt

A community Easter Egg Hunt for children up to fourth grade. Attendees are advised to arrive early to avoid missing out. The hunt begins at 1 p.m. at Lions Park, 751 Parkway Blvd SW, Ephrata.

Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt

The Moses Lake Lions Club is hosting their annual Easter Egg Hunt with ages 0-12 welcome. Designated areas will be created for anyone needing assistance, ages 0-3, ages 4-6 and ages 7 and up. The hunt begins at noon at McCosh Park, 401 W Fourth Ave, Moses Lake.

Spring Fling and Pictures with the Easter Bunny

Take the kids to the Moses Lake Farmers Market’s Spring Market where they can grab pictures with the Easter Bunny. 4x6 printed pictures cost $5, a picture with a frame cost $10 and a six-inch photo button costs $10. Frames are blank and you get to customize them on the spot. The market will also feature fresh foods, flowers and handmade treasures. Will be for the duration of the Spring Market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Grant County Fairgrounds.

Easter Egg Hunt & Poker Run

The Sand Scorpions ORV Group is hosting an Easter Egg hunt with over 30,000 eggs being spread across five acres in the Moses Lake Sand Dunes. The event will be held in the Red Zone on the West side of the Sand Dune Beach. Following the Easter Egg hunt will be a Poker Run. The event begins at noon.

2026 Othello Easter Egg Hunt

The annual Easter Egg Hunt in Othello returns with a full afternoon of activities including bounce houses, face painting, balloons, pictures with the Easter Bunny, a Bunny Mart, prizes and egg hunts for different age groups. Activities run from 2 to 5 p.m. at Lions Park, 901 Pine St, Othello.

George Easter Egg Hunt

The George Community Hall and the Georgettes are hosting the annual free Easter Egg Hunt for ages 0-12. The hunt begins at 9 a.m. at the George Community Hall, 403 West Montmorency Boulevard, George.

Quincy Spring Festival

A family-friendly day featuring free hot dogs and hamburgers, fresh popcorn, a bounce house and games and prizes. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Jesus House, 124 D St SW, Quincy.

Mattawa Easter Egg Hunt

The city of Mattawa is hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt from 10 a.m. to 11:15 p.m. at Mattawa Hund Park, 521 Government Rd, Mattawa. The Mattawa Public Library will also be open for reading and activities.
