Weather for the week of Sept. 29, 2025
The Columbia Basin Herald office hosted a somewhat unique visitor last week, in the form of a bat staff dubbed "Timmy." Timmy was carefully removed from the office and flew off to find another perch to nap in, hopefully away from the smokiness last week saw. Rain is expected off and on throughout this coming week, and we're hopeful for the sake of firefighters that it helps knock down the fires in our area. We're sure Timmy wouldn't mind some cleaner air either.

Tuesday: A 40% chance of showers, mainly before 11 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 71. A 40% chance of showers late in the day. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52.
Wednesday: A 50% chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 69. A chance of showers before 11 p.m., then a slight chance of rain after 11 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Thursday: A 30% chance of rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 66. A 20% chance of rain. Partly cloudy, with a low around 46.
Friday: A 20% chance of rain. Mostly sunny, with a high near 68.
