MOSES LAKE — A Yakima man and woman were arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail on suspicion of residential burglary after alleged multiple robberies of a storage shed at a residence near Moses Lake.

Douglas Raymond, 35, Yakima, and Debra Russo-Wright, 41, were also booked on suspicion of stolen property and first-degree theft. They were arrested Tuesday morning after attempting to flee from law enforcement, according to a media release from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

The arrests stemmed from burglaries Sunday and Tuesday at a residence in the 11000 block of Neppel Road Northeast. The homeowner reported the Sunday burglary and said he suspected Raymond, who had burglarized the property before, the GCSO release said.

The homeowner reported a second burglary at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. Raymond and Russo-Wright were arrested when deputies stopped their vehicle on State Route 282 about seven miles south of Ephrata

Deputies recovered stolen items from Raymond’s Yakima home. The pickup was seized pending a search warrant, the GCSO release said.

Raymond remained in the Grant County Jail on Wednesday evening with a charge of Residential Burglary and another for Theft in the Third Degree. No bail had been set according to the jail’s inmate roster.

Russo-Wright was not listed on the jail’s roster as of Wednesday evening.
