MOSES LAKE — A Moses Lake man was arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail early Saturday morning after leading Grant County Sheriff’s Office deputies on a high-speed chase on Interstate 90 late Friday night.

Jordan Wheeler, 20, allegedly drove with his lights off along I-90 at speeds approaching 120 miles per hour while attempting to elude law enforcement, according to a GCSO media release. Kyle Foreman, GCSO public information officer, said the incident occurred about 11:30 p.m. Friday.

“Nobody was injured, including Wheeler’s juvenile passenger,” Foreman said.

Wheeler was booked on suspicion of attempting to elude police officers, two counts of reckless endangerment and third-degree driving with a suspended license. Foreman said he had a juvenile passenger in his vehicle.

A GCSO deputy saw Wheeler’s car operating without lights and attempted to stop him, Foreman said. Wheeler fled from deputies on eastbound I-90 at the Dodson Road exit. Moses Lake Police Department officers put down some spike strips near eastbound Exit 176, which stopped him, Foreman said.
