Classical singer, pianist to perform Saturday in Moses Lake
MOSES LAKE — The public is invited to a collaborative recital Saturday by pianist Oksana Ejokina and singer Misha Myznikov, according to an announcement from the Moses Lake – Central Basin Music Teachers Chapter of the Washington State Music Teachers Association, which is sponsoring the concert.
Ejokina has soloed with the Seattle, Tacoma and Olympia symphonies, as well as at venues across the country and beyond, according to the announcement. She first performed in Moses Lake about 10 years ago in conjunction with Columbia Basin Allied Arts. During her 20-year tenure at Icicle Creek Center for the Arts in Leavenworth, she built and directed several flagship classical music programs. She is also the artistic director for the T-Town Chamber Music Festival and Institute in Tacoma.
Myznikov, originally from Azerbaijan, is an accomplished baritone who began singing with the Seattle Opera in 1993, according to the announcement. He and his family moved to Moses Lake in 2022.
The concert will take place at 4 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Moses Lake, according to the announcement. Tickets are available at the door: $10 for adults, $5 for students and $20 for a family.
