North Central ESD Board of Directors calls for 2025 elections

WENATCHEE - The North Central Educational Service District (NCESD) has announced a call for candidates for four seats on the Board of Directors. Candidates must file their declaration of candidacy between Sept. 1 and Sept. 16. 

The following districts within the NCESD are seeking candidates; each term is 2026 - 2030 and begins January 2026: 

District 1 represents Brewster, Grand Coulee Dam, Nespelem, Okanogan, Omak, Oroville, and Tonasket School Districts. 


District 3 represents Bridgeport, Mansfield, Manson, Orondo, Palisades, Pateros, Quincy, Waterville, and a portion of Eastmont School Districts. 


District 5 represents a portion of the Moses Lake School District. 


District 7 represents a portion of the Wenatchee School District. 

North Central ESD covers just over 12,600 miles and provides services to schools in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan and Grant Counties serving over 42,000 students. The Board is composed of seven regionally elected members. 

A person is eligible to serve on an educational service district board of directors if he or she is a citizen of the United States, a registered voter, resides within the boundary of the board member district for which they are applying and is not a school district employee, member of a board of directors of a school district or on the State Board of Education.
