Donald I. Temple Jr.

Donald I. Temple, Jr., 80, passed away Aug. 30, 2025. 

Don was born in 1945 to Ellen (Fortner) and Donald I. Temple in Seattle, Wash.

Don married his high school sweetheart, Janice Goetschius. Together, they had two children, Angela and Donald Eric. While raising the children, Don coached soccer, was a member of the Soap Lake, Wash., volunteer police and participated in bowling leagues.

Upon retirement, Don got involved with the Moses Lake Senior Center. He was surprised to find himself serving a term on the board.

Don’s greatest joy came from his children and grandchildren.

Don is survived by his daughter, Angela Malecha, and grandchildren Alycia Malecha, Eric Temple, Ryan Temple, MJ Temple and Morgan Olsen. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellen and Don Sr., wife Jan, stepmother Shirley, sister Dona Moore and son Donald.

A celebration of life is being held at 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2025,  at the American Legion, 538 W. Broadway, Moses Lake, Wash. Attendees are encouraged to share memories during the event.
