COLUMBIA BASIN — This is a busy week in the Basin, with a fair, community festivals, art, live music and more. Here are some things to check out: 

Sept. 5 

Dueling Pianos: Felix and Fingers 

Two talented pianists go head-to-head in a friendly competition, delivering an unforgettable live music experience. This isn’t your average night out; expect singing, comedy and a rowdy good time. Tickets $30 per person, which includes an appetizer buffet and access to the private patio and bar. Must be 21 or older. Seating starts at 5 p.m., buffet opens at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 6:30 p.m. at Michael’s Market & Bistro, 221 W. Broadway, Moses Lake. Info: 509-765-4177. 


Live music with Mitch McVicker 

Contemporary Christian musician Mitch McVicker has 13 full-length albums and won a 1999 GMA Dove Award for the song “My Deliverer,” co-written with the late Rich Mullins. His quirky and inventive approach includes insightful song lyrics, unconventional instruments, and profound storytelling to connect the everyday with the otherworldly. Sept. 6 

Walk, Beer, Flock Cancer 0.5K! 

Join Columbia Basin Cancer Foundation for a half-kilometer walk, run, skip, roll or stroll along the park trail by Moses Lake, then rest after the exhausting workout with cold beer or soft drinks. Pink or flamingo-related attire is suggested but not required. A percentage of all purchases will go to the CBCF. 11 a.m.-3 p.m at Moore Brewing Company. 302 W. Broadway Ave., Moses Lake. Concealed Carry Class 

This four-hour comprehensive training course is designed to educate individuals on the laws and regulations surrounding the carrying of concealed firearms. This class covers essential topics such as the use of force, firearms safety and the proper handling and storage of firearms, as well as the specific laws and any requirements for obtaining permits in Washington, Oregon, and Arizona. Upon completion of the class, attendees will be eligible to apply for the above-mentioned permits and will also receive a WA-HB-1143 Gun Safety Certificate. Cost is $74.99. Sept. 7 

Teddy Bear Tea in the Learning Garden 

Bring your favorite stuffed friend for a sweet afternoon of tea, treats, and good company. Every cup poured helps fund events, resources, and joyful moments for all ages. Hosted by Friends of the Ritzville Library. 3 p.m. at the Ritzville Library, 310 W. Main Ave., Info: 509-659-1222. 


Sept. 10-13 

Othello Fair 

Four-day fair featuring parade, carnival, food and craft booths, livestock exhibits and more. This year’s theme is “Sunflower Yields & Scarecrow Fields.” Info: www.othellofair.org. 


Sept. 11 

Patriot Day 

A special remembrance presentation to commemorate those we lost and give thanks to the brave first responders who put their lives on the line Sept. 11, 2001. We will also give our heartfelt thanks to those who chose, and are still choosing, to serve our country. Bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. Sept. 12 

H.E. Gritman Senior Center Fundraising Breakfast  

Enjoy a homemade breakfast of pancakes and sausage or biscuits and gravy and sausage. Cost is $7 and all ages are welcome. All proceeds go to support the activities at the Senior Center. 7:30-10 a.m. at 118 W. Main Ave., Ritzville. Info: 509-659-1921.  


‘Don Nutt: A Tortured Land’ 

Opening of the exhibition by Coulee City artist Don Nutt. Nutt’s oil paintings capture the spirit of Grant County and its landscape, people and creatures. B Street Block Party 

Music, dancing and community under the stars. Live music by The Cayoneros, a high-energy band out of Ellensburg known for their perfect blend of classic and modern country, honky-tonk rhythms, and irresistible Latin deep cuts. 5:30-10 p.m. on B Street in downtown Quincy. Sept. 13 

Farmer Consumer Awareness Day 

Farmer Consumer Awareness Day is a day for farmers to show how food is produced, and for consumers to learn. The festival includes a parade, farm equipment display, quilt show, vendors, tours, fun run, car show and more. 9 a.m. at Quincy Middle School, 16 Sixth Ave. SE, Quincy. Info: www.quincyfcad.org. 


Hartline Community Days  

Parade, kids’ games, vendors, pickleball and bean bag tournaments, and a donation-only lunch. 10:30 a.m. at Hartline City Park. Info: 509-641-0323. 


Art on Third  

See local artists and their works gathered in downtown Moses Lake. There will be crystal artists, jewelry, painting and photography and more, as well as opportunities for guests to make their own works of art. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at East Third Avenue and South Alder Street, Moses Lake. Sip & Stroll  

Explore local businesses, taste Washington wineries, cideries and spirits, and listen to local musicians. There will also be a car show with classics, customs, low riders and more. 1-5 p.m. at Sinkiuse Square, 216 W. Third Ave., Moses Lake. Info: downtownmoseslake.com.  


Care Fair  

Local nonprofits and service organizations are ready to show what they’re all about and ways to give back to the community. Noon to 5 p.m. at 313 S. Ash St., Moses Lake. Info: caremoseslake.com/care-fair.  


Bids and Bites Fundraiser 

Silent auction, live auction, music and food. Proceeds support the EASE Cancer Foundation. 4-8 p.m. at Sunland Estates Park, 830 River Drive SW, Quincy. Info: 509-860-1322.
