MOSES LAKE — Sand Hill Place is coming along well, Hayden Homes Marketing manager Gina Donangelo Barnecut said Tuesday.

“Earlier this year, we did the groundbreaking and there was nothing here,” Donangelo Barnecut said. “And then you come out and there’s houses here.”

The occasion was the ribbon-cutting, hosted by the Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce, on the model home at the development in the Mae Valley area of Moses Lake. Hayden Homes broke ground on Sand Hill Place in May.

Sand Hill Place consists of 40 lots just off I-90 near Blue Heron Park. The homes are available in eight floor plans, according to Hayden Homes’ website, and prices start in the $300,000-$400,000 range with customizable extras. The model home uses the Edgewood floor plan, with three bedrooms, two baths and a three-car garage.

The designs are a little different from Hayden Homes’ other local developments, Donangelo Barnecut said.

“You’ve got out new Craftsman exterior look and feel and some new paint schemes,” she said.

Seven lots are sold, according to the website, and another six are already built and available for purchase.

Hayden Homes, based in Redmond, Oregon, built its first Washington housing development in Othello in 1993, and moved into Moses Lake in 1994. Sand Hill Place is Hayden Homes’ 13th development in Moses Lake.

“Since then, we’ve provided over 1,000 homes for the hard-working families that live in Grant County,” Donangelo Barnecut said. “We’re excited to continue providing that to the hard-working families out here.”
