Three men arrested, drugs confiscated Wednesday
MOSES LAKE — Three Grant County men were booked into the Grant County Jail on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to deliver Wednesday following a five-month investigation by the Moses Lake Police Department Street Crimes Unit and Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agents.
Teodolo Gonzalez-Barreto, 26, Luis Estrada-Mendez, 25, and Jose Chavez Soriano, 28, were arrested by MLPD officers and detectives with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office Crime Reduction Team and Interagency Narcotics Enforcement detectives.
According to a MLPD media release, law enforcement officers confiscated about 25 pounds of narcotics, including 23 pounds of methamphetamines. Officers also seized about two pounds of fentanyl and an ounce of cocaine.
Federal prosecutors are reviewing the case in consideration of federal charges, it said.
“This type of operation is a good illustration of the need for local and federal agencies to work together to confront crime in our communities,” the MLPD release said.
