Coulee City man arrested after alleged gun threats
COULEE CITY — On Tuesday night, a 70-year-old Coulee City man reportedly threatened five people with a handgun, according to a statement from the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies received a call saying Gerald Holcomb had made threats to kill and pointed a pistol at five people.
“The people were there to help Gerald Holcomb's wife move out of the house,” GCSO Public Information Officer Kyle Foreman said.
When deputies arrived, Holcomb refused to come outside, but soon after, he surrendered. No shots were fired and nobody was injured, according to GCSO.
Halcomb is lodged at the Grant County Jail for investigation of four counts of first-degree assault and one count of first-degree assault — domestic violence.
“Holcomb’s wife was present, so that is why there is a domestic violence tag on one of the charges,” Foreman said.
