Bruce Eugene Kehret, age 87, passed away Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025, at Columbia Basin Hospital in Ephrata, Wash. He was born March 4, 1938, in Austin, Minn., and was the third son to Carl and Matilda Kehret.

Bruce was a 1956 graduate of Austin High School and attended the University of Minnesota. Bruce married Susan Woodfill on Dec. 2, 1961, in Brownsdale, Minn., and together they had three beautiful children: Theresa, Gary and Carl. Bruce found an interest in electronics, attended trade school and became an electronics technician for Honeywell, which required a lot of relocation. During his career, Bruce and his family had the opportunity to experience living in places such as Moab, Utah; Los Alamos, N.M.; and Austin, Texas. He retired in 1997.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Susan; daughter Theresa Williams and husband Tommy who blessed him with two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren of Midland, Texas; two sons, Gary Kehret and his wife, Melissa, who gifted him with two grandchildren, of Snohomish, Wash.; and Carl Kehret and wife Trisha who blessed him with one grandchild of Moses Lake, Wash. He is also survived by his sister-in-laws, Peg Kehret (Carl Jr.), Virginia Kehret (LaVerne), Lynne (Harrison) Kehret (Roger), and Carolyn Kehret (Jerry); and his beloved dog, Ava.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and his four brothers: Carl, La Verne, Roger and Jerry.

Bruce was a loving father and husband, a good friend to have, and he always enjoyed telling a good story for all to hear.
