Law, fire training scheduled Friday, Saturday in Moses Lake neighborhood
MOSES LAKE — Both the Moses Lake Police Department and Moses Lake Fire Department will be using houses near Samaritan Hospital for training exercises Nov. 28 and 29, with some of the activity possibly visible – and audible – in nearby neighborhoods.
The MLPD will be using the buildings until about 10 p.m. Friday, said MLPD Captain Jeff Sursely.
“This is our chance to do some (tactical response team) training,” he said.
The MLPD training will include what a department release said would include “loud explosions and possible bright flashes of light after dark.”
But – at least until around 10 p.m. Friday - it’s just training.
“Just making sure people are aware and don’t think it’s a Black Friday shopping trip gone awry,” the post said.
