Warden man struck on crosswalk in Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on West Broadway Avenue near South Beech Street around 5 p.m. Tuesday. Traffic was rerouted for a time while emergency services worked to help the victim.  

Captain Jeff Sursley, Public Information Officer for the Moses Lake Police Department, said the victim was a 59-year-old male from Warden who was struck in the crosswalk by a 2021 Nissan Rogue driven by a 40-year-old female from Ephrata.  

According to the Grant County Fire and EMS scanner, upon arrival, the victim was conscious and breathing but unable to walk. The victim was transported to Samaritan Hospital to be further evaluated.
