ACSO recovers stolen farm equipment
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office, with support from Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and Stevens County Sheriff’s Office was able to find and return stolen farm equipment from a 2024 burglary investigation. One subject was arrested for second-degree burglary.

NINE MILE FALLS — The Adams County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant with the assistance of the Stevens County Sheriff’s Office in connection with an ongoing burglary investigation from 2024.
Deputies arrested Valeriy Aleshkin, 43, Nine Mile Falls, a small town just north of Spokane, on second-degree burglary.
Deputies went to different locations in Stevens County and were able to recover the stolen farm equipment. The stolen equipment was later returned to its owner.
ACSO thanked both SCSO and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office for their support in this investigation.
“Their assistance proved invaluable to the success of the investigation,” reads a statement from ACSO. “Great teamwork, great result.”
The Adams County Jail roster indicated Wednesday afternoon that Aleshkin was still in custody. The Adams County Jail itself is closed, but inmates are being held at nearby facilities until it reopens.
