Shots fired in Washtucna, one arrested

WASHTUCNA — In the early morning of Nov. 16, according to Adams County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 100 block of North Main Street in Washtucna after multiple gunshots were reported in a residential area.  

Deputies contacted several individuals located at the residence. According to ACSO, most were under the influence of alcohol. 

Through investigation, deputies developed probable cause to arrest one subject. Efrain Acuna, 24, of Washtucna was arrested on suspicion of aiming or discharging a firearm in a manner that endangered others. This would be a violation of RCW 9.41.230(b). According to RCW, if no injury results, the subject could be guilty of a gross misdemeanor.  

A search warrant was later served at Acuna’s Washtucna residence, where deputies recovered multiple firearms that matched casing evidence found during the arrest.  

The investigation is ongoing.
