MLPD conducts targeted enforcement at Civic Center Park
MOSES LAKE – The Moses Lake Police Department Street Crimes Unit and Major Crimes Unit conducted a targeted enforcement operation at Civic Center Park in response to the ongoing municipal code and criminal violations. During the operation, according to MLPD, detectives made contact with 12 individuals. Of that, five arrests were made.
This included seven individuals who received 72-hour trespass notices for municipal code violations; one individual received a seven-day trespass notice after returning to the park following a previous trespass issued the day prior; five individuals were arrested on outstanding misdemeanor warrants; and one individual was arrested for felony assault after he assaulted detectives contacting him about a misdemeanor warrant and municipal code violations.
“The Moses Lake Police Department remains committed to maintaining public safety and ensuring Civic Park remains a safe and welcoming environment for all community members,” MLPD said in a statement.
According to the Grant County Jail Roster, MLPD made the following arrests Thursday.
Brennan Patrick Woods, 28, for obstructing a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. Randy Dean Love, 38, for two Grant County District Court warrants. Dwayne Walter Spruel Pease, 37, for a Grant County District Court warrant. Elliot Ray Miller, 34, for a Grant County District Court warrant. Nicholas Kerk Svelnys, 46, for two Grant County District court warrants. Michael Ray Espinoza, 31, for no valid license, resisting arrest, third-degree malicious mischief – domestic violence and two counts of third-degree driving with a license suspended. Justin Webb Bashaw, 46, for first-degree driving with a license suspended and operation of a motor vehicle without an ignition interlock.
All seven subjects were still in custody of Grant County Jail as of 1 p.m. Friday.
