Notice of 2025 Comprehensive Plan Amendment Adoption Public Hearing: November 18, 2025. Notice is hereby given that the City of George is proposing to adopt 2025 Comprehensive Plan Amendments, including updated land use maps, an urban growth area land use change application, and revised Comprehensive Plan outdated data. After a SEPA comment period, a hearing with the City Planning Agency was held on July 21st, 2025. The council was provided with a recommendation to approve the proposed amendments on August 19, 2025, at a regular scheduled council meeting. The following public hearing before the council is scheduled to hear final comments. State Environmental Policy Act Determination of NonSignificance Date of Issuance: 10/29/2025 Lead Agency: City of Warden Agency Contact: Kristine Shuler, City Administrator, [email protected], 509-349-2326 Description of Proposal: The Booster Pump Station Improvements include construction of a new booster pump station building and water main piping to the new building. The project will install new pumps, motors, electrical controls, and telemetry in the new building. The project will remove the existing piping and controls located in the existing booster pump station building and re-allocate the building for City storage. A new backup generator will be installed adjacent to the new booster pump station and electrical conduit will be constructed for connection. As part of the project a valve replacement may occur to the north of this project area in the alley next to Reservoir 1 along Beck way. Applicant: City of Warden Location of Proposal: The Booster Pump Station Improvements will occur on Claremont Ave and W. 11th Street near the City’s Reservoir 2 and the alley adjacent to Reservoir 1 along Beck Way. The lead agency for this proposal has determined that it does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. An environmental impact statement is not required under RCW 43.21C.030(2)(c). This decision was made after review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the lead agency.
