The reports below were provided by the sheriff's office or police department indicated. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Ephrata PD
May 22
Report of physical disturbance in the 800 block of Basin Street Southwest. Reporting party said a physical fight was in progress. Upon police arrival, male suspect was detained and through investigation discovered probable cause to arrest the male suspect for second-degree malicious mischief. Male suspect arrested, transported and booked without incident.
Report of vehicle prowl in the 100 block of Division Avenue West. Reporting party wanted to have documentation. Reporting party said they left their vehicle unlocked because he would rather them take things in the vehicle then have them break the window. Reporting party asked for extra patrols in the area.
Report of vehicle fire in the 1100 block of Basin Street Southwest. Reporting party said an RV was on fire in the parking lot. Ephrata Fire arrived and assumed command of the incident.
Report of cold hit and run collision in the 100 block of Basin Street Southwest. Reporting party said a white SUV struck a parked vehicle and left the area. Area searched for vehicle, with no luck.
Report of attempted theft at business on Nat Washington Way. Reporting party said female suspect had old receipt and tried to get money for merchandise. Reporting party said female suspect returned items for cash once prior and was confronted and fled the scene.
Report of vehicle theft in 500 block of C Street Northwest.
May 23
Report of two-vehicle collision on Circle Place Northeast in Moses Lake. Vehicle failed to yield at uncontrolled intersection.
Report of assault at Ephrata High School. Victim sustained minor scrapes and cut lip. Video footage to be obtained from EHS and sworn statement forms given to both parties.
Report of stray cats digging up the reporting party’s garden on A Street Southeast. Reporting party told there is no municipal codes restricting cats behavior and he could take reasonable measures to protect his garden from invasive cats.
May 24
Report of vehicle being stopped on Fourth Avenue Northwest for no front plate. Vehicle drove past officer. Officer then stopped in parking lot. Drivers license was expired and he was cited for second-degree driving with license suspended.
Report of cold theft of a shark scrub and steam. Reporting party to submit images of suspect and vehicle.
May 25
Report of victim being assaulted by suspect this morning. Probable cause established and attempt to locate issued.
Report of two-vehicle collision. Vehicle one failed to yield to vehicle two at intersection.
Report of EPD dispatched to alley between Sixth Avenue and Seventh Avenue Southeast for a gray-haired male subject with a long rifle. EPD located the subject and it was a BB gun. Subject advised again to put BB gun in a sleeve.
May 26
Report of domestic violence assault. Suspect was taken into custody for fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.
Report of traffic stop on Basin Street and Alder Street Northwest for speeding. Driver had no opening insurance and suspended license.
Report of domestic in the 19000 block of Road A.3 Northeast in Soap Lake. Ephrata PD helped Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
May 27
Report of boat and trailer stolen by suspect according to reporting party. Reporting party said she did not want the boat back but needed something to give to the Department of Licensing to get the boat out of her name.
Report of a DUI in the 400 block of Basin Street Southwest. Reporting party said vehicle hit the stairs and the female suspect was stumbling around. Vehicle and female suspect gone on police arrival. No damage observed.
Report of found wallet in 1300 block of Basin Street Southwest.
Report of vehicle and motorcycle collision on Basin Street Southwest. Vehicle one was north and struck from behind by fast moving motorcycle. Motorcycle driver ejected from the bike and went airborne. Motorcycle driver showed signs of intoxication and serious injuries, was transported to Columbia Basin Hospital. Washington State Patrol took over investigation.
Report of possible DUI and underage drinking in the 1100 block of Basin Street Southwest. EPD contacted subjects and they were not drinking and were getting ready to leave town.
May 28
Report of subject placing items in backpack at business, left without paying. Police waiting outside when reporting party said they were going to office with subject. Subject was told reporting party wanted to pursue charges and trespass.

May 22
Report of subject cutting hole through fence and hanging out in property. Reporting party said he had kicked them out of the property the other day.
Report of dog breaking into house and eating all of reporting party’s chicken.
Report of female subject saying she was assaulted by male subject, stated she was hit with an oar walking to Cascade Park.
Report of shoplifting at business including return fraud. The suspect had left by police contact.
May 23
Report of cows on Road Seven near Road N and asked for the sheriff’s office to contact the owner to address the situation.
Report of repeated theft of circle parts from a farm.
Bus on fire near fields and power poles.
Report of stolen crane hook valued at $1,850.
Report of horse in distress in Moses Lake.
Report of trespassing at golf course and resort. Suspect left on electric bike.
Report of fireworks, loud music and people. Reporting party said people were also drunk on golf carts.
May 24
Report of single vehicle collision into the canal. Noninjury and no one is trapped.
At power pole, four women crashed a four wheeler.
Report of subjects on four-wheelers, in front of reporting party’s food stand and almost hit two customers.
Report of subject stealing stone tablet from front yard.
Report of welfare check requested on infant at homeless shelter in Moses Lake.
Report of front gate stolen from residence.
Report of gang in area and they were trying to “start stuff.”
Report of loud explosion in area and flash. Reporting party unsure if it was a gunshot or not.
May 25
Report of nature change from traffic stop to DUI.
Report of male trying to hit the reporting party, the subject said he is jealous that the reporting party is with his ex wife.
Report of damage to golf course.
Report of subject at reporting party’s house refusing to leave, subject is breaking things.
May 26
Report of lost wallet with $600, costco card and health card in it.
Report of nature change from traffic stop to DUI.
Report of two teenagers stealing items.
Report of subjects shooting in the area.

May 28
Report of domestic violence.
Report of car trespassing on property.
Report of subject passed out in reporting party’s car.
Report of an illegal burn just past Doolittle Lane.
Moses Lake PD
May 23
Report of two juveniles trespassing on property and reporting party asked for both to be trespassed.
Report of a pull behind orange cart stolen from reporting party’s front porch on North Vista Drive. Reporting party willing to pursue charges if suspect is identified.
Report of possible animal abuse on West Peninsula Drive. Report had already been made previous day and handled by animal control officer.
Report of package of diapers stolen off porch on North Crestview Drive. Reporting party did not want to pursue charges.
Report of MLPD assisting Grant County Sheriff’s Office with arrest of suspect with felony warrant.
Report of subject trespassing near dumpster on West Broadway Avenue. Subject told to move along.
Report of vehicle one rear ending vehicle two on Alder Street. No injuries.
Report of two male juveniles arrested, one for disorderly conduct and the other for third-degree assault.
Report of officer contacting three subjects smoking marijuana in a city park on West Sixth Avenue. Two of the three were taken to Chelan Juvenile.
Report of juvenile taken into custody and transported to juvenile detention center for second-degree trespassing.
May 24
Report of security at business on North Stratford Road attempting to assist an intoxicated male out of business. Subject became comparative to security and security forced the subject to the ground until police arrived. Security asked for subject to be trespassed.
Report of highly intoxicated male saying he was assaulted on South Wanapum Drive. Subject transported to Samaritan for head injury.
Report of theft from store on North Stratford Road. Police responded and located subject walking away from store with stolen items in hand. Police placed subject in to custody and returned to the store. The subject was trespassed and charges are to be forwarded.
Report of drug paraphernalia found in a store on South Pioneer Way. It was disposed of by MLPD.
Report of white pitbull and dead cat found in reporting party’s backyard. Reporting party did not see the dog attack the cat. Police went to address on South Eastlake Drive with no answer.
Report of two vehicle, non-blocking, non-injury collision. Vehicle one was stopped at red light on East Fifth Avenue waiting to turn south on South Pioneer Way. Vehicle two was behind vehicle one. Vehicle one reversed to get behind crosswalk line and hit vehicle two’s front end. Vehicle two sustained damage.
Report of unidentified female paying for a cart of groceries and refused to provide birthdate for alcohol purchase. Subject left store without paying for alcohol. Subject ot be charged with third-degree theft and trespassed if identified.
Report of two-vehicle non-injury collision. Vehicle two was stopped at stop sign at South Dogwood Street waiting to turn left onto West Broadway Avenue. Vehicle one was driving westbound on West Broadway Avenue and waiting in middle lane to turn left onto South Dogwood Street. Both vehicle initiated left turn at same time. Vehicle two failed to yield to vehicle one. Reportable damage.
Report of suspect seen who had a robbery warrant. Suspect arrested and taken to Grant County Jail.
Report of unknown subject pulling weeds in reporting party’s front yard. Reporting party asked for subject to be trespassed. Subject said he did not realized he was at the wrong address and had yard work to complete. Officers trespassed subject and he left without incident.
Report of theft from business on East Broadway Avenue. Subject trespassed, no probable cause.
Report of multiple subjects placed into custody for disorderly conduct, trespassing and third-degree assault during Spring Festival.
Report of boat motor stolen sometime in the past couple of weeks. Reporting party lives in Wenatchee but stores his boat in Moses Lake. Motor is worth around $3,000.
Report of a stolen purse at Civic Park. Officers contacted potential suspect and he said he placed the purse in a secure location to prevent it to be stolen. Reporting party did not want to pursue charges. Purse was recovered. Officers told subject not to move people’s property without consent.
Report of suspect leaving store on North Stratford Road with a microwave that the subject paid $5 for when the price should have been $80. Charges to be filed.
Report of four-vehicle collision on North Stratford Road.
Report of medical staff and hospital security reporting a victim who had been seen at the emergency room. Officers found evidence of domestic and assault. Report to be filed.
Report of a large mesh bag being left on the back door of a hotel on South Melva Lane. Reporting party returned and found her bag missing and said she saw another subject leave with the bag. MLPD contacted the front desk for video. Reporting party said the bag contained most of her clothes and her dad’s ashes.
Report of theft at business on East Yonezawa Boulevard. Suspect was trespassed but no charges to be filed.
Report of erratic driver on Division Street. Vehicle stopped by officer and found to be DUI and in possession of a firearm. Vehicle towed pending search warrant for open containers and firearm. Driver booked into Grant County Jail.
May 25
Report of of transferred call from Texas agency dispatch. The reporting party was not identified by the transferring agency. The report claimed while online playing XBox the subject displayed a firearm at address on West Kristine Street. There is a history of swatting at this residence with several false reports. No cause to contact at this time.
Report of subject stealing from business on North Stratford Road. Subject previously trespassed and arrested for second-degree burglary and third-degree theft. Subject taken to Grant County Jail.
Report of a subject arrested from another theft found in possession of items from business on West Central Drive. Police contacted business and discovered subject stole the items. Subject booked into Grant County Jail for additional burglary and theft charges.
Report of fraud. Reporting party said her card was used for two unauthorized purchases in California. Reporting party wished for charges to be filed if suspect is identified.
Report of subjects using drugs at Neppel Landing. Paraphernalia located and subjects warned for violating Moses Lake Municipal Code.
Report of subject contacted at McCosh Park after being trespassed from Springfest the night prior. Subject left.
Report of homeless camp located at Neppel Park along railroad tracks. Camp was unoccupied. City parks notified.
Report of subject with felony warrant located and placed into custody.
Report of two vehicle collision on East Nelson Road. Vehicle two was stopped at red light at Nelson and Pioneer. Vehicle one was distracted and hit vehicle two causing reportable damage. Driver two later went to hospital for possible head injury. Vehicle one towed from scene.
Report of woman causing problems for carnival staff by taking down equipment at Springfest. Woman was trespassed from the park for the weekend.
May 26
Report of witness observing the suspect hitting the victim across the street on West Valley Road. Suspect arrested for fourth-degree assault – domestic violence.
Report of theft in progress at business on South Pioneer Way. Two juvenile males concealed multiple items and passed all points of sale. Juveniles detained and upon confirming theft, juveniles were placed into custody. Both were permanently trespassed and released into parent’s custody.
Report of subject stealing wallet at business on South Pioneer Way. Suspect entered the store and was previously trespassed. Probable cause established for first-degree trespassing. Suspect later located and placed into custody for trespassing.
Report of someone purposely placing bread under reporting party’s vehicle on South Beech Street to attract rats. Reporting party said her vehicles harness was eaten by rats. Reporting party said she will attempt to collect video.
