Mavs girls and boys finish second and third at districts
Mavs doubles teams Kiley Thomas and Kalei Bruce and Abbie O’Neil and Claire Thompson both had solid performances at the district tennis tournament. The two teams faced each other in the quarterfinals of the consolation bracket.

Caleb Dickinson, pictured at a previous home game, played doubles with Emitt Madsen during the district tournament. The duo made it into the quarterfinals of both brackets.
Moses Lake's Cesar Portillo played in the second singles spot for the boys in the district tournament where he put up a solid performance.
CAEmitt Madsen was partnered with Caleb Dickinson for the district tournament where they tied for fifth place individually with Wenatchee’s Liam White and Luke Jeffery.
Belize Orton played held the third singles spot for the Mavs girls where she earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Davis’s Rubi Tolentino-Mejia. Coach Jay Dickinson said each Moses Lake player at the tournament one at least one match.
Colin Stanberry played first singles in the district tournament where he made quarterfinals in the winner's bracket.
MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake Mavericks boys and girls tennis teams finished their season at the district tournament over the weekend. The boys team tied with Davis for third in the rankings while the girls team finished second overall.
