Civil Air Patrol prepares to head to California

Cadet Chief Master Sergeant David Lyon cleans and thoroughly inspects a rifle used for ceremonies. The Color Guard also is in charge of flag raising and overall presentation at many different events and are graded at competition based on how well they complete these tasks.
EPHRATA — The Civil Air Patrol’s Color Guard is preparing to head to California for its regional competition on Saturday.
