Ecology accepted the application as complete on February 2, 2024. Okanagan Specialty Fruits owns and operatores an apple processing facility in Moses Lake, Washington that grows and processes apples. The facility will discharge process wastewater to the Port of Moses Lake Wastewater Treatment Facility with a maximum daily wastewater discharge flow of 25,000 gallons per day (gpd) and an average monthly flow of 16,000 gpd. The wastewater, following treatment, must meet the requirements of the Washington State Water Pollution Control Act and applicable regulations for a permit to be issued. The Department of Ecology is proposing to issue the permit and is hereby issuing public notice of its intent.
