The reports below were provided by the sheriff's office or police department indicated. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Ephrata PD
May 1
Report of three vehicles in the 600 block of C Street Southwest going at a high rate of speed toward Ephrata High School. Area was checked and vehicles were gone on police arrival.
Report of juvenile being chased by a schnauzer dog. Juvenile said the dog growled and barked at her and she was in fear. There is video to be provided to police. Dog was unprovoked.
May 2
Report of black spray paint on the victim’s red shed. Photos of damage taken. Left a door knocker in the victim’s mailbox.
Report of vehicle vs. coyote collision. Coyote clearly injured and barely able to move. Coyote was destroyed and disposed of.
Report of deceased black cat near the intersection of First Avenue Northwest and Patrick Road. Reporting party said the cat was in the middle of the sidewalk and possibly had a collar.
Report of tagging in the 200 block of Basin Street Northwest. Reporting party said black graffiti was on their building in several locations. Reporting party said he was reviewing video footage for possible suspects.
Report of malicious mischief on A Street Southeast. Reporting party said the new concrete was poured around the new bathrooms yesterday. The concrete was coned and taped off. Unknown suspects skated over the concrete causing damage to the sealant. Reporting party would like suspects identified and talked to. Likely suspects are juveniles. Photos of possible juvenile suspects added to files tab.
Report of harassment in the 200 block of Sixth Avenue Southwest. Reporting party said she has been having some civil issues with her landlord.
Report of turtle walking at large. Reporting party located the turtle in the parking lot of the town horses. Police responded and assisted with attempt to locate the owner.
Report of graffiti in the 300 block of Seventh Avenue Southwest. Reporting party said there was tagging on two garages in the alley. Graffiti matched others reported in town.
May 3
Report of female suspect getting into reporting party’s apartment with screwdriver in the 100 block of C Street Southwest.
Report of burglary. Manager of store said they saw suspect take items out of store without paying. Suspect located and detained. Probable cause established. Suspect told she was in custody. Suspect attempted to run, then resisted arrest. Suspect taken into custody.
Report of male suspect starting fire on Nat Washington Way. Male suspect contacted with warming or cooking fire. Ephrata Fire Department arrived and extinguished the small flame.
May 4
Report of sometime in the last two months, someone entered her car and took her insurance and current registration. Reporting party said they changed the wiring harness for her turn signals.
Report of possible DUI on Basin Northwest. Reporting party said the car was swerving and possibly saw the driver point a firearm at his own head.
Report of graffiti on grain silo and garage door in the 100 block of A Street Southeast.
May 6
Report of theft in Basin Street Southwest. Reporting party said employee took cash and left on foot. Reporting party looked through cameras and found the employee going through the safe and taking envelopes of money. Area searched but employee gone on police arrival. Reporting party called and told Ephrata PD the employee came back and returned money.
Report of fraud. Reporting party was waiting for contact in the 100 block of C Street Northeast. Reporting party said they received a phone call from a person claiming to be law enforcement. Reporting party followed the instructions and sent $1,800 to the scammer via a CoinMe machine. Money was lost from the scam.

May 1
Report of suspicious vehicle pulling up to mailboxes. It was unknown if they stole anything.
Report of man in gray hoodie coming in and out of store three times in 20 minutes. The reporting party thinks he is stealing.
Report of male in a spray-painted dodge in parking lot driving crazy. The subject has an upside-down wheelbarrow in the back.
Report of female not responding at business. She was barely breathing.
Report of three juveniles breaking into reporting party’s house. He does not know how they got in.
May 2
Report of stray dogs eating chickens.
Report of vandalism.
Report of problem of golf carts leaving the course and racing down the street, exceeding the 25-mph speed limit.
Report of unknown person’s cattle in reporting party’s backyard. There were more than 30 cattle.
Report of mailbox hit and run. The car left behind a bumper and license plate at the incident location.
May 3
Report of suspect shooting at reporting party’s windows with BB gun or sling shot.
Report of dog breaking into chicken coop and chickens being killed. Unknown who the dog belongs to but reporting party said the same dog keeps coming back.
Reporting party said they bought a neglected horse from the subject and the subject showed up and was trying to intimidate the reporting party to get the horse back.
Report of vehicle prowl overnight.
Report of tree falling on car.
May 4
Report of DUI.
Report of someone attempting to steal neighbor's car. The reporting party said they saw someone crawl in the back window.
Report of neighbors racing motorcycles up and down the street.

Report of a stolen electric bike.

Report of cold vehicle collision that occurred Saturday on White Trail Road.
Report of stolen bikes.

Report of non-injury collision.

Report of vehicle rolling off road and partially in ditch. Car will need to be towed.
Report of subject trying to steal boat. Subject hooking up boat when owner confronted subject.

Moses Lake PD
May 3
Report of male passed out in the parking lot on North Stratford Road. Male was contacted and said he was sleeping it off. Male advised to keep sleeping until he was able to drive.
Report of male trespassing on the property. He was contacted and advised reporting party had a pistol in his hand when confronting him. Firearm was never pointed or used in a threatening manner.
Report of someone breaking into reporting party’s garage overnight. Suspect tampered with power and water causing reporting party to have no running water or electricity.
Report of neighbor’s chickens loose and chasing the reporting party inside. Upon police arrival, chickens were contained and no issue appeared. Police made contact with the owner of the chickens and advised the chickens are contained on the property.
Report of phone call from “Officer Greg” to the reporting party saying he had sent her a citation. Reporting party hung up and called the police. It was a scam.
Report of vehicle and motorcycle collision. Vehicle one pulled out of parking lot on East Wheeler Road and collided with motorcycle that had two occupants. Both motorcycle occupants were transported via ambulance to Samaritan Hospital with suspected serious injury.
Report of two vehicles racing and possibly a gun being brandished. MLPD checked area and were unable to locate the vehicles.
Report of fight at McCosh Park. MLPD made contact with victim and documented injuries. Victim said they wanted to pursue charges.
Report of unknown suspect cutting a hole in the fence on North Owen Road and taking a pole mounted camera and attempting to steal copper from the job site.
Report of dog barking at trailer on North Central Drive. Reporting party said she thinks the subjects who were running from police were in there. Police said the male was taken into custody.
Report of domestic argument via phone. Suspect’s brother contacted reporting party and said the suspect had taken a vehicle from his residence in Butte, Montana and was armed with a handgun. Emergency ping completed on suspect's phone that showed he was still in Montana.
May 4
Report of arrest being made on a warrant at motel on West Driggs Drive.
Grant County Sheriff’s Office located stolen vehicle on Bong Loop. MLPD assisted in calling out the pursuit.
Male subject trespassed from property on West Driggs Drive. Male returned and was arrested for second-degree trespassing.
Report of reporting party’s mother and partner fighting on West Oregon Street. Police contacted the individuals and determined the reporting party’s mother was assaulted by her partner. The partner was arrested and booked into Grant County Jail.
Report of male who had been trespassed entering a business on North Stratford Road and buying items. Reporting party asked the male to be charged with trespassing. Male was gone on police arrival.
Report of gun stolen about a year ago. Reporting party went to use it and couldn’t find it. Reporting party said he thinks it was stolen from his vehicle in Moses Lake.
Report of vehicle backing out of driveway and hitting vehicle two which was legally parked on West Luta Street.
Report of theft from business on North Stratford Road. Video to be collected. Charges and trespass to follow if suspect is identified.
Report of male being booked into Grant County Jail for fourth-degree assault – domestic violence on Miller Street Northeast.
Report of domestic on North Clark Road. Suspect was arrested and booked into Grant County Jail.

Report of vehicle driving erratically on South Division Street traveling at around 50 mph. The reporting party said the driver nearly hit them. The driver was contacted and admitted to slight speeding but denied trying to hit anyone. The driver said someone stepped into the road and signaled for him to slow down. Reporting party said he did step into the roadway in an effort to get the driver to slow down. Police determined no crime occurred. The reporting party placed himself at risk by entering the roadway in attempt to slow the vehicle down.
Report of subjects throwing rocks in the roadway on North Stratford Road and West Knolls Vista Drive. Subject gone on police arrival.
May 5
Report of people trespassing on reporting party’s property on East Fifth Avenue. Reporting party wanted subjects removed but not to pursue charges.
Report of overdose at warming shelter. Subject was given six Narcan by reporting party. Subject taken to hospital by Moses Lake Fire Department.
Report of an unconscious male subject lying on ground on South Pioneer Way. The subject was administered Narcan and given aid by the Moses Lake Fire Department.
Report of collision on North Stratford Road. Vehicle one and two were both traveling northbound. Vehicle one slowed to allow people to turn into a business and vehicle two collided into vehicle one. Driver one had minor burns on her arms due to airbag deploying.
Report of female attempting to steal groceries from business on North Stratford Road. Loss prevention stopped the female at the exit doors and found her to be permanently trespassed. Female booked into Grant County Jail for third-degree theft and second-degree burglary.
Report of theft at business on North Stratford Road. Male was located and booked into Grant County Jail.
Report of MLPD locating a Grant County Sheriff’s Office suspect and arresting him on Doolittle Drive.
May 6
Report of juveniles using chalk to write on breezeway walls at North Elementary. Juveniles will be trespassed from school property when identified.
Report of student in possession of a BB/Airsoft pistol at Frontier Middle School. Charges to be forwarded to prosecutor's office.
Report of phone found in parking lot on West Ivy Avenue. Unable to identify the owner. Phone has been placed in property for 60 days.
Report of male building a teepee structure in a field at the 3200 block of West Peninsula Drive. Male additionally attempted to start small fire. Structure dismantled by Moses Lake Fire Department. Police advised male to stay out of field.
Report of juveniles throwing rocks at cars and leaning bicycles on vehicles on West Marina Drive.
Report of MLPD assisting Washington State Patrol with a single vehicle collision.
Report of female suspect putting unpaid merchandise in her purse. The female completed her purchase without paying for the items in her purse. The shopper was contacted after passing all points of ssale. Loss prevention wanted the shopper trespassed and to pursue charges.
May 7
Report of seven subjects loitering on property on North Stratford Road. Subjects contacted and verbally trespassed per request.
Report of cellphone stolen at business on South Pioneer Way. Police reviewed video which showed male suspect taking phone from register counter and leaving the store. Male suspect contacted and was not in possession of the phone. Male suspect refused to tell police where the phone was at.

Report of speeding vehicles.

Report of reporting party’s daughter headed home and some kids pushed her. They ganged up on her and pushed her around. The children ran down the alley when confronted by reporting party.
May 6
Report of vehicle backing into another vehicle. Non-injury, non-blocking incident.
