CALL FOR BIDS CITY OF GEORGE 2025 PAVEMENT PRESERVATION Sealed Proposals will be received by the undersigned at the City of George, 102 Richmond Avenue, George, Washington 98824, up to 11:00 a.m; local time on May 16, 2025, for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees thereof to construct the 2025 Pavement Preservation. This contract provides for the Citywide pavement preservation including, but not limited to, application of emulsified asphalt and aggregate for seal coat and all other work in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Special Provisions and the Standards Specifications. The Work shall be Substantially complete within 35 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto that are on file at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, George, Washington. The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and date stated above. Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Bid Documents. All Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, postal money order, cashiers check, or Proposal bond payable to the “City of George” and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Proposal amount. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, Grant County Auditor seeking volunteers to prepare statements in opposition to Grant County Hospital District No. 3, Proposition No. 1 for the August 5, 2025 Primary Election. Grant County Auditor’s Office will appoint up to three members for “Against” committee. Appointments will be made in the order that requests from qualified applicants are received by email. The email request must include the applicants name, voter registration address, phone number, and the district they wish to write a statement for. The deadline for an interested party to request a committee appointment must be emailed by May 12, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. to elections@grantcountywa.gov. It is not the responsibility of the Auditor’s Office to coordinate communications between committee members or to arbitrate disagreements among them. Notice of Issuance of SEPA Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance: May 7, 2025. Notice is hereby given that a SEPA Checklist was received by Grant County Development Services on March 18, 2025, from Mark Kyrilov (Designated Contact: Columbia Northwest Engineering, 249 N Elder St. Moses Lake, WA 98837) and was found to be Technically Complete on March 26, 2025. Grant County has issued a Mitigated Determination of NonSignificance (MDNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (WAC Chapter 197-11) for the following project: A SEPA Checklist for a ministorage facility on Crescent Bar Road NW. Phase 1 includes land clearing, grading, blasting, and stormwater system installation. Grading fill will be approximately 14,065.75 cubic yards; excavation will be approximately 12,370.70 cubic yards. Phase 2 will involve constructing thirteen (13) buildings for office and storage use totaling approximately 50,500 square feet on a 3.69-acre parcel in the Rural Community (RC) zone. Mini-storage facilities in the RC zone require a Conditional Use Permit, to which this SEPA Checklist will also apply. The site is located along the north side of Crescent Bar Road NW. Legal description: Block 6 and a Portion of Block 9, Plat of Trinidad. Located in the NW ¼ NW ¼ Section 18, Township 20 North, Range 23 East, W.M. Grant County, WA (GC Parcel # 05-0864000). ADDITIONAL PERMITS: Grading. PUBLIC HEARING: None. After a review of a completed Environmental Checklist and other information on file with Development Services, Grant County has determined that this proposal does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment as conditioned.
