Irene LaDean Daggy

Irene LaDean Daggy died May 3, 2025.

LaDean, as she was called, was born at home May 2, 1938, in Moore, Idaho, to Floyd and Nora Haney. She was the second of two children.
Her family moved to Moses Lake in 1955, where she graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1957.

LaDean met and fell in love with an airman, Albert Hurst, from Larson Air Force Base. She and Albert married in 1960. They had two children. Sadly, it would not last and they divorced in 1967.

LaDean later married Ray McBride. Thankfully, that marriage ended in 1980.

In 1983, she met and married her soulmate, Don Daggy. They remained married until his death in 1992.

Together they owned and operated D&L Screen Printing in Moses Lake. She continued to run it for several years after his death. LaDean was a member of the Soroptimist International during her years of running the business.

LaDean is survived by a daughter, Diane Conrad (Don) of Stanwood, Wash., and a son, Eric Hurst (Josie) of Moses Lake., as well as three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd Haney and Nora Haney, her brother Clem Haney and her husband, Don Daggy.

A funeral will be held Saturday, May 10 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Rose Avenue chapel at 11 a.m. The chapel is located at 1036 Rose Ave., in Moses Lake, Wash. There will be a viewing beforehand at 10 a.m.
