WA Legislature passes school safety bill
Warden Police Chief and School Board Member Rick Martin said the Warden School District does a good job with safety. Martin said Senate Bill 5004 is a good piece of legislation for the safety of Washington schools.

Moses Lake School District Superintendent Carol Lewis said she is in full support of more safety in Washington schools; however, MLSD is already above the recommendations of the bill. The district already has adopted the Emergent 3 digital mapping and emergency response platform.
Ephrata School District Superintendent Ken Murray said he is in full support of Senate Bill 5004 and any measures to make schools safer for students and staff. He said he has concerns about the costs of implementing the technology for some of the districts and would like to see Washington State provide the funds to execute the legislation.
