The reports below were provided by the sheriff's office or police department indicated. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Ephrata PD 

March 20 

Report of cold theft. Reporting party said a suspect stole a fishing pole on Fourth Avenue Southwest. Reporting party provided video footage. Suspect later contacted and admitted to it. Fishing pole recovered.  

Report of two-vehicle collision. Vehicle one attempted to pass southbound through intersection of D Street and Division Avenue East. Driver one failed to yield right of way. Vehicle one struck passenger side rear tired section of vehicle two.  

Report of multiple U-Haul vehicles with fuel siphoned out. Reporting party working to possess video. Unknown which vehicles and amount of fuel stolen. 

Report of subject “sweeping” the round-a-bout on Dodson and State Route 282. Police contacted subject and told him to stay out of street and traffic.  

March 21 

Report of vehicle hit in parking lot while reporting party was shopping. Police contacted store for video. 

March 22 

Report of burglary on State Route 28 West. Reporting party said front door of residence was open when he got to the house. Building checked and deemed secure. 

Report of fraud in 100 block of First Avenue Northeast. Reporting party received text message referencing toll bridge fines. Reporting party advised this was a scam. 

Report of theft at business on Basin Street Southwest. Subject possibly took bottle of alcohol and left store. Employee confronted suspect and he took off running. Last seen running down alleyway southbound. 

March 23 

Police officer on 11th Avenue Northwest observed two vehicles attempting to race heading north on Basin Street Northwest. Once police activated front headlights, both subjects slowed down. 

March 24 

Report of subject staying at RV park for about a week. Reporting party asked subject to be trespassed and removed. Subject was trespassed.  

Report of tagging in red paint in the 1700 block of C Street Southwest. Photograph of damage collected. 

Report of subject sleeping by dumpster and cussing reporting party out when confronted on Basin Street Southwest. Reporting party asked for suspect to be trespassed. Suspect also known to have warrant. Grant County Jail confirmed. Subject contacted at railroad tracks. Suspect trespassed and taken into custody for warrant without incident.  

Report of cold malicious mischief. Reporting party said he observed some graffiti on his garage.  

March 25 

Report of unknown suspect stealing approximately five to six pounds of copper ground wire from substation.  

Report of subject and shop owner fighting. Subject and shop owner got into argument and shop owner told subject to leave. Subject squared up with fists up. Shop owner’s son came in and subject and son fought. Then shop owner jumped in. Subject and son didn’t want charges. Shop owner did, but wouldn’t cooperate. Subject trespassed from shop. 

Report of subject contacted for speeding 28 mph over limit. Odor of intoxicants coming from vehicle. Subject had watery eyes and admitted to drinking. Washington State Patrol handled DUI investigation.  

March 26 

Report of three juveniles crawling through the window of a residence on D Street Southeast. Residence owner contacted and said it was her grandson and friends. 

Report of drug complaint on Fourth Avenue Northwest. Reporting party said she caught her son in possession of marijuana and nicotine vape. Reporting party said she questioned juvenile subject on where he got them. Police officer contacted the school security. 

Report of cold trespassing at Ephrata High School. Reporting party said subject was at the soccer game that night and had been previously trespassed. Reporting party wanted suspect to be charged.  

Report of subject shoveling dirt in the middle of the roundabout. Subject contacted and told to stay out of roadway.  

Report of male subject making threats and threw a rock towards victims in 300 block A Street Southeast. Male subject contacted and arrested without incident.  

Moses Lake PD 

March 21 

Report of traffic collision near the intersection of West Broadway Avenue and Gibby Road. Police responded and contacted the individuals involved in a parking lot on Nat Washington Way. Vehicle one was changing lanes when a vehicle turned from Gibby Road. Vehicle one swerved avoiding the vehicle and went on the curb. Driver of vehicle one stated the curb bounced him back causing him to collide with vehicle two. No injuries reported. 

Report of fiber box taken from property. Cost of the box is $350. Police are working on tracking down IP address.  

Report of several female students involved in fight at Moses Lake High School. Students disciplined by principal and sent home with parents. 

Report of two solar panels and a battery stolen. The lock on the shed was cut with bolt cutters. This is related to a case in Wenatchee. 

Report of student found with marijuana pipe, vape and alcohol. Student disciplined by school principal and sent home with parents.  

Report of subject leaving store without paying for some food items on South Pioneer Way. The suspect left on foot and walked across Wheeler to enter another building. MLPD is following leads on suspect.  

Report of student at school with a knife. He said he had it for protection. School staff reported student taking knife out to show to group of friends. 

Report of blocking collision near the intersection of East Broadway and Balsam Street. Vehicle one turned onto East Broadway. Vehicle two was traveling westbound on Broadway. Vehicle one collided with vehicle two. Both vehicles towed from scene. 

Reportable collision on South Alder Street. Vehicle one was southbound on South Alder Street in the left lane. Vehicle two was eastbound on E Fifth Avenue. An unidentified white truck was turning left and waiting for traffic. Vehicle one entered intersection, failing to yield to the truck turning left and vehicle two, causing collision.  

March 22 

Report of shoplifting at business on North Stratford Road. Reporting party said it was a blue car and gave a license plate number. Police attempting to identify the subject. 

Report of reporting party receiving a message from Bitcoin, or a group claiming to be Bitcoin. The message claimed someone in Mexico was attempting to gain access to his account and to contact Bitcoin. The reporting party said the person who contacted him walked him through how to move his money. The reporting party later contacted bitcoin and found out that they had not contacted him. They said most of his money had been withdrawn or taken. The reporting party said his loss was about $10,000 to $12,000 in U.S. Dollars. No suspects or location of the suspects at this time.  

Report of several subjects stealing a store’s deep fryer from the back of the store on South Pioneer Way. The fryer was valued at $8,000. It was behind the store waiting to be picked up for repair. The suspects were captured on video loading the fryer into a trailer and were identified. Officers contacted suspect. The deep fryer was returned to store. Nothing further at this time. 

Report of customer under-ringing some of the items they had selected at store on North Stratford Road. The suspect admitted to not scanning several items. The suspect was trespassed. Report to follow for third-degree theft. 

Report of MLPD assisting GCSO with overdose on North Stratford Road. 

Report of officer pulling over a vehicle that was first-degree driving with license suspended. The vehicle was supposed to have an ignition interlock and did not so driver was cited for that as well. 

Report of suspect chasing after neighbor throwing rocks. Police arrested suspect for disorderly conduct. Suspect caused issues for detectives during a search warrant. Suspect booked into jail.  

Report of female suspect stealing a pair of glasses from business on North Stratford Road.  

March 23 

Report of vehicle prowl on West Marina Drive. Suspect admitted to taking 10 gallons of fuel out of the victim’s truck. Police located the gas cans with stolen fuel and returned it to the victim. Police will forward charges once reporting party provides a statement.  

Report of vehicle prowl on Longview Street Northeast. Victim’s card and cash stolen. No video or suspect at this time.  

Report of MLPD assisting Grant County Sheriff’s Office with a burglary in process on Patton Boulevard. Upon MLPD arrival, subject was detained.  

Report of female and male suspect stealing items from business on North Stratford Road. Male also shoved an employee that attempted to stop them. Suspect left in white sedan. Report to follow for second-degree robbery against male and third-degree theft against female if identified. 

Report of unknown problem. Upon speaking with those involved, police established arrest for male suspect for fourth-degree assault – domestic violence. Suspect was transported and booked into Grant County Jail. 

Report of physical altercation between two males at the Moses Lake Sleep Center. Police responded. Males said it was not physical and they were just arguing.  

Officers located and arrested two males on outstanding warrants. Males were transported to Grant County Jail.  

Report of student promoting gang affiliation and wearing his colors at Frontier Middle School. The student was verbally aggressive towards another student and staff. Student was disciplined per school policy. 

Report of victim receiving toll tickets regarding his license plates in New York. Reporting party said his vehicle was totaled in an accident about a year ago. Police filled out a stolen vehicle form to get the license plates listed as stolen.  

Report of subject stealing around $30 worth of goods from business on South Pioneer Way. Report to follow if subject is identified.  

Report of theft in progress at North Stratford Road business. Subject arrested and booked into jail for burglary and theft. 

Report of blue car on East Fifth Avenue threw condiment packets at juveniles. No injuries and parents notified.  

Report of subject entering store on North Elder Street and leaving with items without paying. Male identified and to be trespassed. 

March 25 

Report of a subject possibly stealing pillows from porches on West Maple Drive. Made contact with two subjects and one was located as a runaway. Runaway returned to their home. 

Report of subject found to have a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. Subject fled and was later arrested for the warrant and resisting arrest.  

Report of male subject walking out of business on South Pioneer Way without paying. Police responded and contacted the male. He admitted to stealing. 

Report of manager at business on North Stratford Road noticing that around $9,000 in deposits were missing from Nov. 2024 to current. Reporting party also contacted Ephrata store and they are missing around $1,000 in deposits.  

Report of female subject stealing around $100 from business on North Stratford Road. Reporting party to send a video of incident.  

March 26 

Report of theft of power and meter at residence on North Mattson Drive. Grant County Public Utility District cut the power to residence and requested a criminal investigation.  

Report of reporting party’s girlfriend’s ex-husband at the residence on Knolls Vista Drive and taking items that belonged to the girlfriend. The reporting party confronted the ex. Then the ex attacked the reporting party with a shovel over the head. The attack resulted in a laceration that required stitches. The reporting party was transported to the hospital. The suspect is wanted for second-degree assault. 

Report of stolen motor vehicle located. Two female suspects booked into Grant County Jail for theft of a motor vehicle and additional warrants.  

Report of traffic accident on West Valley Road and North Central Drive. The driver of vehicle one was driving at a high rate of speed, ran the red light and t-boned vehicle two. The driver of vehicle one fled the scene before police arrived.  

Reporting party said he observed two individuals appearing to be stealing an air conditioning unit on West Charlotte Street. Police responded and contacted the residence. Police observed air conditioning unit missing along with pry marks into a shed in the backyard.  

Report of person having an open flame next to the library building in the alcove. She said she was trying to keep warm. Drug paraphernalia also present.
