Seeds 'n Stone transitioning to online marketplace

MOSES LAKE — Amy Winter, owner of the wellness and lifestyle boutique Seeds 'n Stone, confirmed that the shop's physical location on Third Avenue will close its doors for the final time Wednesday.  

However, despite the closure, Winter assured her customers that this move signifies a new beginning rather than an end to the Seeds 'n Stone journey. 

"We have some important things to focus on and we are going in the direction of the heart of Seeds 'n Stone, our Miraculous Magnesium family of products,” Winter said. 

This decision to close the storefront comes as the business pivots to fully embrace online sales and strengthen its social media presence, Winters said. 

“We are not going out of business,” she said. 

Winters said she started Seeds 'n Stone five years ago at the Moses Lake Farmers Market with a vision to create a hub centered around self-love and personal wellness. Then three years ago, Winter opened the physical storefront. The store quickly evolved from selling bath and body products to becoming a community gathering space, she said. 

"In the very beginning when we first opened, I literally had no direction other than to just be here and to create customized things for people in bath and body," Winter said.  

Over the years, Seeds 'n Stone garnered a loyal following who appreciated the unique offerings — most notably, the homemade magnesium butter that Winter has honed over three years of dedicated work. 

The magnesium butter, which Winter described as "a comfort, it's a relaxer," has become the cornerstone of the business. It has not only paid the rent but also solidified customer trust in her products, she said.   

"People kept coming back for it because it worked," she said.  

The transition to an online platform will enable Winter to foster engagement with the community that has supported her since inception, she said. She plans to offer workshops in a private setting and continue providing customized products, including body packs, hand masks, foot warmers and a selection of crystals on the website. She has two websites: seedsnstone.com, which is the main online storefront. She also has miraculousmagnesiumbutter.com which sells magnesium butter at wholesale prices.  

In her time in Moses Lake, Winter said she has cultivated meaningful relationships with customers and shared transformative wellness experiences through various workshops, covering topics from journaling to self-love practices.  

"Serving the community (has been) a hundred percent just being here," she said. "We've heard so many precious stories and met so many precious people that it’s a unique environment here." 

Looking ahead, Winter expressed a desire to confront her fears and embrace new opportunities.  

"I’m going to try to make videos and be more available with myself online," she said. 

With plans to apply for a spot at the fairgrounds and maintain partnerships with establishments like Settler’s Natural Market, Divine Chiropractic and CJ’s Meats, Winter said her commitment to serving her community remains steadfast.  

"This isn't the end; it's just the beginning of a new journey for us to go in a new direction and have new opportunities,” Winter said.
