Jim Ross

| March 25, 2025 1:22 PM

Jim Ross of Othello, Wash., passed away peacefully in his sleep with his loving wife, Sarah, by his side.

He was born to James and Barbara Ross in Lewiston, Maine, on Aug. 16, 1958. He was raised in Libson, Maine, the eldest of five children.

As a teenager, at youth camp, he gave his heart to Jesus and shared with others God’s plan of salvation and his love of Jesus until his dying day.

Jim attended Hyles-Anderson College and was ordained in Crown Point, Ind.

He taught at Pacific Baptist School in Long Beach, Calif., where he met his future wife, Sarah. Jim married Sarah (Koehn) Ross in Long Beach, Calif., on June 22, 2002. They later moved to Washington state near Sarah's family. He worked at Lamb-Weston in Warden, Wash., for 17 years.

Jim’s passion was knocking on doors & handing out Gospel tracts.

He enjoyed walking or riding a bike for miles and miles. He loved animals, which were drawn to him, and he was teased for always over-feeding them. He loved his wife's homemade pies. He loved to tell his ghost stories and joke with all the youngsters.

He was famous for his quirky jokes which mostly embarrassed his wife. :)

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Dale.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah, brother Jeffery Ross of Lisbon, Maine; sister Cindy Lachance of Saco, Maine; sister Tina Porter of Lisbon, Maine; and numerous extended family members.
