Deborah Bonnie Brown, 75, Remembered with Love

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah Bonnie Brown, who left this world at the age of 75 in Seattle, Wash.

Born in Spokane, Wash., to Virgil and Reba Eshelman, Deborah spent her early years in Spokane and attended Shadle Park High School before continuing her education at Central Washington University. It was there that she met her husband, with whom she built a family before they later divorced.

Deborah dedicated much of her life to caring for her family as a stay-at-home mother and later worked as a teacher’s assistant, where she made a lasting impact on the lives of many students. She especially enjoyed volunteering at Peninsula Elementary School in Moses Lake, Wash., where she delighted in leading craft projects for the students.

Deborah was a Cub Scouts Master Leader for many years, helping guide and mentor young scouts with enthusiasm and care.

A talented and creative soul, Deborah found joy in sewing, drawing, quilting and making beautiful flower arrangements. She had an incredible ability to bring warmth and beauty into the lives of others through her artistic talents. Whether crafting a handmade quilt, sketching a heartfelt design or arranging flowers with care, she expressed her love through creativity.

Above all, Deborah was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She cherished her family deeply and is survived by her three children: Derlyn (Cynthia) Brown of Moses Lake; Mindy (James) Johnson of Boise, Idaho; and Kurtis (Gigi) Brown of Moses Lake. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Cole Hedges, Adaleigh Brown, Elijah Brown, Beckett Brown, Anabelle Brown, Cambria Johnson, Mackenzie Brown and Gabriela Brown, all of whom brought her immense joy and love. She is also survived by her three brothers: Dale Eshelman, Duane Eshelman and Don Eshelman, who shared many wonderful memories with her throughout her life.

Deborah’s family invites all who knew and loved her to a funeral service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 925 N. Grape Drive on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, with viewing at 10 a.m. and service at 11 a.m. followed by interment at Guarding Angels Cemetery. Luncheon to follow at 1 p.m.

She also leaves behind many cherished friends and loved ones who will forever hold her memory close. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.

Deborah’s kindness, resilience, and love will never be forgotten. May she rest in peace.
