Law enforcement logs for March 21, 2025
The reports below were provided by the sheriff’s office or police department indicated. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Ephrata PD
March 13
Report of animal at Columbia Ridge Elementary School. Reporting party had a dog out on the playground and was concerned about the children. Reporting party was able to make calls and learned it was one of the students’ dogs. Student identified the dog and they were able to take the dog home.
Report of vehicle v. electric scooter crash. Juvenile pedestrian on electric scooter left alley without stopping. Driver attempted to avoid juvenile by braking and swerving but failed. Juvenile transported by EMS to Samaritan with possible broken leg.
March 14
Report of Ephrata PD dispatched to First Avenue and E Street Northwest for a car vs. scooter collision. Driver said a truck had blocked his view. Driver crossed and pedestrian hit the side.
Report of 10-20 square blue pills found in walkway between county buildings on C Street Northwest. Police responded and collected pills for destruction.
Report of unknown person jumping on victim’s vehicle, causing dent. Victim then came out and believed to be suspect that has no-contact order.
March 15
Report of decorative light pole in front of business on First Avenue Northwest observed broken. Police said it appears unknown suspect may have climbed it, causing the pole to break inside base. Grant Public Utility District contacted to shut off power to pole.
Report of damage to vehicle and stolen security camera on K Street Northeast. Suspect entered property, climbed on top of reporting party’s garbage can and broke off wall mounted security camera. Suspect then keyed the rear end of reporting party’s vehicle.
Report of overdose on D Street Northeast. Ephrata PD, Ephrata Fire Department and EMS responded. CPR and Narcan used. Subject transported to Columbia Basin Hospital and airlifted out.
March 17
Report of vehicle prowl in 1300 block of Nat Washington Way. Reporting party said while in the store, someone entered her unlocked vehicle and took a $100 bill. Reporting party did not want to pursue charges.
Report of verbal domestic in the 200 block of Division Avenue West. Probable cause established for fourth-degree assault – domestic violence. Female suspect taken into custody and transported to Grant County Jail without incident.
March 18
Report of theft at business on North Basin Street Southwest. Reporting party wanted the female suspect to be trespassed and charged.
March 19
Report of copper ground wires cut on Third Avenue Northwest. Value is $300. No suspects at this time.
Moses Lake PD
March 14
Report of vehicle prowl at business on North Stratford Road. The reporting party said his jack was stolen. Reporting party called later and said jack fell out of his vehicle while in his residence driveway. No theft of vehicle prowl.
Report of MLPD units assisting GCSO with shots fired call at Hiawatha Road Northeast. Subject barricaded in a trailer in the homeless camp off Road A Northeast. GCSO obtained warrant for entry to the trailer. The subject was hiding under the trailer. Suspect arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault, second-degree attempted murder. Subject taken to Grant County Jail.
Report of customer’s truck being stolen from in front of business on East Commercial Street. The owner notified and signed vehicle as stolen.
Report of unsheltered subject taking clothes off in front of children and exercising. Officers checked area and reported subject was gone before police arrival.
Report of unknown male suspect going into store on North Stratford Road and taking numerous items and leaving on foot. The male suspect is unknown at this time. If the male is identified, a report for theft will be sent to prosecutor for charging.
Report of burglary on West Nelson Road. After speaking with tenant, the subject who broke the door down also resided at that apartment. Police spoke with apartment manager and notified her of information.
Report of suspect concealing a bottle of liquor and leaving store on North Stratford Road. The vehicle was contacted shortly after and suspect was taken into custody. Suspect admitted to theft. Suspect was permanently trespassed and released pending third-degree theft charges.
Report of trailer located by MLPD on East Broadway Avenue. Trailer confirmed stolen from Orchard on Dodson Road in Royal City. Trailer valued at $5,000. No suspects.
Report of police responding to overdose on East Broadway Avenue. Subject transported to Samaritan by Moses Lake Fire Department.
Report of physical domestic on South Pioneer Way. Suspect was located and refused to comply. Suspect placed into custody and booked into Grant County Jail on suspicion of assault, vandalism and obstructing justice.
March 15
Report of male harassing customers at bar on North Stratford Road. Employees requested male suspect to be permanently trespassed.
Report of theft on North Stratford Road. Four suspects at the store, three stole, three fled. All eventually located. All four trespassed for 99 years. Three to be charged with theft.
March 16
Report of two dogs attacking and killing a cat on the reporting party’s property on North Florida Drive.
Report of a vehicle being broken into on West Sixth Avenue.
Report of drugs found at a hotel on South Melva Lane.
Report of physical domestic on North Clark Road. Teenager was getting violent with parents and assaulted them. MLPD transported juvenile to Samaritan, after which the juvenile was taken to the juvenile detention facility.
Report of suspect breaking padlocks of a cargo trailer on West Marina Drive and stealing power tools.
March 17
Report of housekeeping at hotel on South Melva Lane locating a bag of drugs.
Report of individuals getting into the new homes being built and turning on the water on and flooding three of the house on East Ninth Avenue. Reporting party said damage was extensive to all three residences. Report to follow if suspects identified.
Report of cold hit and run on North Stratford Road business. No suspect at this time. Police attempting to obtain video footage.
Report of two males and one female stealing from business on South Pioneer Way previously. Police got photos of suspects. Reporting party asked charges and trespass if suspects identified.
Report of vehicle hit sometime throughout the day Saturday Reporting party is unsure where collision occurred. Did not notice damage until they were at home.
Report of theft at business on South Pioneer Way. Reporting party contacted on scene. Reporting party requested suspect to be trespassed.
Report of suspect entering story on West Broadway Avenue and stealing two buzzballz and then leaving. Suspect appeared to be a juvenile.
Report of subject in parking lot checking door handles at business on North Stratford Road.
