Kyle Adair

| March 21, 2025 4:38 PM

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Kyle Adair on March 8, 2025, after being unable to recover from a sudden illness.

Kyle was born July 25, 1959, and grew up in Moses Lake, Wash.

He graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1977 and received a BA in Business Administration from Eastern Washington University in 1982. He spent his career working in sales and transportation, until his recent retirement from Darigold as a logistics manager.

He began the happiest chapter of his life when he met his wife Kerri in 1991, whom he wed in 1994. They enjoyed 34 years together, creating lasting friendships and happy memories in the same NE Seattle neighborhood that she grew up in. They just recently relocated to Whidbey Island, fulfilling Kyle's lifelong dream of living near the water.

With a passion for sports, Kyle was a natural athlete, and found a way to succeed at every activity he engaged in. As he got older, he was adamant that his skills never diminished, a true testament to Kyle's unrelenting confidence.

Among his happiest places was to be on or near the water, on a sunny day, with a fishing pole in one hand and drink in the other. He was the self-proclaimed "Fishin’ Magician" in the family.

His love for local sports was legendary, and he was a Washington Huskies and Seattle Seahawks season ticket holder for more than 30 years. He delighted in hosting tailgate parties before every home Huskies game, which became a staple in the lives of Kyle and his brothers Brian and Todd. There was rarely a day that went by that you'd find Kyle wearing colors other than purple and gold.

A natural-born entertainer, Kyle was adored by many, often finding a way to be the life of any occasion. His love and generosity were felt deeply by friends and family, and he possessed an infectious laugh. There were few things he enjoyed more than donning his apron and cooking up feasts for holidays and special events but be warned — STAY OUT OF HIS KITCHEN! — but no one did, much to his chagrin and everyone’s delight, and a wonderful time was invariably had by all.

We all need to take a life lesson from Kyle. Live every day to the fullest, cherish your friends and family, and always look for the top shelf tequila.

Kyle leaves behind his adoring wife, Kerri, his son, Nick (Hailey), brother Todd (Lisa), and many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert, mother Joyce, and brother Brian.

A Celebration of Life to be held Saturday, June 7, at 1 p.m. at the Edmonds Yacht Club, 326 Admiral Way, Edmonds, WA 98020.
