Thelma Thompson
It is with great sorrow that the Thompson family announces the death of Thelma L. Thompson, 100, on March 16, 2025. She was living at the home of her son on Lake Roosevelt and passed away at Lincoln County Hospital, Davenport, Wash.
Thelma was born in Eden, Idaho, on Jan. 13, 1925, to Mae (Waller) and Carl G. Kelly. She went to school and graduated from Eden High School in 1943. A celebration was held in January for her 100th birthday.
Thelma married Jack Thompson on July 5, 1945, at Twin Falls, Idaho. They had two children, Michael and Jana, while living in Eden. In 1956, they moved to Ephrata, Wash., where she lived until she moved in with her son in 2015.
While in Ephrata she worked for JC Penney's for 28 years, was a Pink Lady at the Columbia Basin Hospital and was in a bowling league for 16 years.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, her parents, Mae and Carl Kelly. A brother, Carl M. Kelly, her sisters, Louise York and Margaret Krohn.
She is survived by her children, Michael K. Thompson of Davenport, Wash., and Jana G. McKee of Kelso, Wash. Also, there are four grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
The burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls, Idaho at a later date.
