PROJECT: A Conditional Use Permit and SEPA checklist to build and operate a 400-megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic (PV) energy generation facility coupled to a 200 MW AC battery energy storage system (BESS). The project lease boundary spans 2,515 acres of 33 privately owned land. The project area will be bordered by a chain-link security fence. The Grant County PUD Rocky Ford – Grand Coulee 230kV transmission line is proposed as the Point of Interconnection (POI). The project will include PV panels, a BESS, a collector substation, a construction laydown area, ground-mounted electrical inverters, an Operation and Maintenance building, gravel access roads, buried underground cabling, and perimeter fencing. STUDIES REQUIRED: Cultural Resources, Wildlife and Waterbodies. LOCATION: The project parcels are located within Sections 20, 29, 30, 31, 32, and 33, Township 25 N, Range 29 E, Grant County, WA.
