| March 6, 2025 2:10 PM

Franklin Dean Thompson, 88, of Wenatchee, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Feb. 6, 2025, at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake.

Frank Thompson was born Dec. 31, 1936, to Clarence Bert Thompson and Luella Moore Thompson in Mason City, Wash. After Frank graduated from Marysville High School in 1956, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and trained in radio maintenance. He was stationed at Larson AFB in Moses Lake and later at Waikanae, Japan. He mustered out early and returned home.

Frank met Lois Lorene Frazier and they married in 1962. Frank re-enlisted in the Air Force in 1963 and served out his 20 years. In 1980, he retired with distinction, receiving the Meritorious Service Medal. In civilian life, he became a service technician working on electronic medical lab instruments. Retiring in 1998 at the age of 62, he and Lois snow-birded to the Southwest in their fifth wheel for seven years and then settled in Ephrata, Wash., enjoying the five acres they made beautiful. They made Moses Lake Church of the Nazarene their spiritual home where they contributed to the lay ministry.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers and their wives, Bert (Rena) and Carl (Barbara) and nephew Gary.

Frank is survived by his wife, Lois, and children Michelle Thompson Stevens and Tony Thompson, his wife, Jinjer, nieces and nephews Kevin, Kyle, Doreen, Keith, Marilynn, Tim, and Andrea, and grandchildren Lee, Kendall, Isabelle, Jeremy, Teri, Bobe, Nick and Jon. He also leaves behind numerous great-nieces/nephews and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at The Moses Lake Church of the Nazarene on March 15, 2025, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Tunnels to Towers Foundation or the Wounded Warrior Project, two organizations Frank held dear.
