Robert L. Stevens
Robert “Bob” L. Stevens, 74, was born Jan. 3, 1951, to Lester Stevens and Paula Norma Easterling in Spokane, Wash.
He honorably served two years in the Army, where he received a National Defense Service ribbon, a sharpshooter qualification badge with an M-16 rifle bar, as well as a motor vehicle driver's badge. Upon completion of his enlistment, he resided in Fort Myer, Va., where his daughter Mary was born.
Bob moved to Washington state in 1983 and lived in Ephrata. He was a talented guitar player and had a passion for music. He was an over-the-road truck driver until he retired in 2020. Bob found the love of his life and married Josephine in 1998. Always ready with a helping hand, warm smile and listening ear. He enjoyed Lincoln City, where he vacationed to be close to the ocean.
Bob was a calm spirit, soft-spoken, and absolutely loved all his grandchildren; he helped raise and had a special connection with Alexis, who was the sparkle of his eye. Bob, unbeknownst to some, made a great impact on the lives of his nephews.
He was a human atlas and had so many stories to tell to anyone who would listen. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Josephine (Josie), daughters Mary, Celia and Rebecca; Sons Carl and Domingo; nine grandkids, two great-grandkids and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Per the family's request, there will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
