Trevor Tibbs
Trevor Dee Tibbs, 52, passed away June 26, 2025, due to a tragic accident while working for his ranch. Born in 1973 to Dave and Karen Tibbs, Trevor lived a life defined by integrity, faith and deep devotion to family, country and the land he loved.
A proud Marine Corps veteran, Trevor served his country honorably, achieving the rank of corporal. After his military service, he returned to the wide-open spaces he cherished and pursued his lifelong calling as a cattle rancher. Trevor was known for his strong work ethic, big dreams of expanding his ranch, and his deep love for cattle and horses. He was a true cowboy — an old-school yarn-spinner and storyteller — who never met a stranger and always kept his word.
Trevor married the love of his life, Kimberly Warnick, in September of 1998. Together they built a home rooted in love, faith and family. He was a devoted husband and father, always placing his children, Marshall of Spokane, Wash., and Mackenzie, of Boardman, Ore., at the center of his life.
Trevor had a generous spirit and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He was a loyal friend, a good neighbor and a man of strength and conviction. Later in life, Trevor experienced a deep spiritual renewal and discovered a strong desire to become Catholic — drawing closer to God in his final months.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly; his children, Mackenzie (partner Cole) and Marshall (fiancée Yacine); his mother, Karen Reffett (Dick); his sister, Audrey Tibbs (partner Kyle); and his brothers, Ivan Tibbs, Tyler Reffett (Lisa), Jordan Reffett (Nicole) and Mitch Reffett (Trista). He was preceded in death by his father, Dave Tibbs, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services for Trevor will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 200 N. Dale Road, Moses Lake, Wash., on July 8, 2025. A viewing will begin at 9 a.m., followed by the rosary at 10 a.m., and funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial at Guarding Angels Cemetery, 2595 Road L NE, Moses Lake, Wash., and a luncheon reception will follow the service.
Trevor Tibbs will be remembered as a patriot, a cowboy, a faithful husband and father and a man whose word was his bond. He loved God, his family and his country — and he leaves behind a legacy of honor, strength and heartfelt stories.
