Robert Stucky
Robert Lee Stucky of Ephrata, Wash., graduated to his eternal home June 6, 2025, at the age of 89, surrounded by loved ones.
Robert “Bob” was born Nov. 6, 1935, to Edmund and Lydia Stucky in Monroe, Wash. He was the seventh of 11 children. After graduating from Monroe High School in 1954, he went on to attend Grace Bible Institute, where he met and fell in love with Joyce Krehbiel. They married Aug. 21, 1956, in Newport, Wash., and have been lifelong partners ever since. They welcomed their first son James Edward a year later, and then a second son, Stanley Thomas. Bob worked on his father’s dairy farm in Monroe for the next 13 years. Then the family of four moved from Monroe to Ephrata, Wash., in 1969 and started the Stucky Brothers Dairy with his brother Jim Stucky, later changing the name to R3J Dairy to incorporate their wives, both named Joyce. Two more sons were added to the family, Jeffrey Alan and Richard King. The family successfully ran the farm until retiring from farming in 1997.
Bob was a hardworking farmer most of his life, teaching his boys the importance of rising early and not being idle with their time. He loved the Lord above all and led his family with Christ at the center. They attended Ephrata First Baptist Church, where Bob was the choir director and Joyce sang in the choir. Bob loved music and singing and was also a member of The Basinaires Barbershop Quartet, bringing joy to others with their beautiful harmonies.
Another passion of Bob’s was woodworking. He would spend any free time he had in his shop, and then worked with Stanley building cabinets for customers. He also enjoyed crafting furniture and various projects for family and friends, which will be cherished pieces for generations to come.
Bob will be remembered as a kind and generous man who loved Jesus and loved his family. He would light up when he met each new grandchild, and his greatest desire was that each one know Jesus as their Savior. His quiet presence will be missed at the game table, along with his warm hugs and strong handshakes.
Bob was preceded in death by his father, Ed; his mother, Lydia; his brothers, Ewald, Gene, Dan and Sam; his sisters, Anna and Florence; and his granddaughter, Tiffany.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; sons James (April), Stanley (Carmen), Jeff (Robyn) and Rick (Tina); 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
