DESCRIPTION: The project is a Conditional Use Permit and SEPA Checklist for review to allow for the construction, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning of a 80-megawatt Utility-Scale Solar Energy Facility, Battery Energy Storage System(BESS) and O&M Building. The solar modules will be mounted on horizontal single-axis tracking racks that rotate from east to west to track the sun over the course of each day. Step-up transformer(s) will raise the inverter AC output voltage, and the Project’s output will pass through an AC collection system to the designated substation and ultimately to the Point of Interconnection (POI) at the existing GPUD 230KV Rocky Ford – Columbia transmission line that runs through the Project Area.
