Barbara Ann Ronk
Barbara Ann Ronk, 82, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family April 25, 2025, in Moses Lake, Wash. She was born Oct. 8, 1942, in Modesto, Calif. She moved with her family to Eltopia, Wash., in July 1955. She lived a life rich with laughter, love, and purpose.
Barbara dedicated her career to serving the community as a school bus driver from 1971 to 2009, specializing in transportation for special education students. Her compassion, patience, and strong spirit left a lasting impression on generations of children and families.
She is survived by her children Terry Ronk, Lena Ronk, Rodney (Roxanne) Ronk, and Charlie (Jen) Ronk.
Barbara also leaves behind a large and loving family of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandsons, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Bonnie Holmes, and husband Charles Ronk.
A true outdoorswoman at heart, Barbara found joy in camping, fishing, and hunting. She was a voracious reader, a self-proclaimed wordsmith, and someone who could light up any room — always the life of the party, and never without a witty remark or a well-timed quip. Her sharp sense of humor and wisdom defined her, and she was never afraid to speak her truth. You could not leave without an EEEEAAAAHHHH!!!! (a big hug)! She was Mom to many and Granny to everyone!
Barbara's family invites all who knew and loved her to a Celebration of Life on July 26, 2025, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Tenpin in Moses Lake to celebrate a life well lived and deeply cherished.
